Sebei girls to face Karamoja’s, Moroto Boma grounds in fight against FGM

The sabiny female sports girls for CMNI girls FC arrived in Moroto for a friendly match with Moroto based Tita FC at Moroto Boma grounds scheduled for tomorrow Saturday 15th, October 2022.

The event which is organised by Community Media Network International (CMNI) with support from Research Triangle Consortium, will kick off in the Saturday morning with cleaning of town then later there will be a meeting with the Municipal leadership before going to the pitch at 4pm.

According to Kipsikak Patmos the Sebei Regional coordinator for CMNI, this sports is geared towards sensitisation of communities allying the two regions on effects of harmful cultural practices as seen in the theme “Gender equity to end FGM”

Regardless of karamoja being erroneously sold by alien, the team didn’t hesitate to cover a four hour drive to make it to the land.

Anthony wadamba the coach for Tita FC has welcomed the move saying it will cause change in bad practices that use to encourage gender exclusions. He further states that this is the biggest venture for friendship since its the first match he has hosted between Sebei and Karamoja.

Also to show case his talent is a 45 year old James Chemonges Sebei’s Long time 42 kilometres runner, who will be making atleast 23km run from Moroto town using Soroti Moroto Road, 12km to and fro.
